The Linton Police Department, Greene County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police served a search warrant on a residence, located on State Road 59 in Midland, that resulted in the arrest of four people on drug and other charges.

Brenda Sue St. John, 40, of Midland, was preliminarily charged with possession of more than 3 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, an A felony; dealing methamphetamine, a B felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a D felony; and possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor.

Robert Dale Ream, 43, of Midland, was preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine with a firearm, a C felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a D felony.

Ryan Paul Followell, 31, of Jasonville, was charged preliminarily with possession of methamphetamine, a D felony.

Cynthia Faye Wiley, 21, of Bedford, was charged preliminarily with possession of a legend drug, a D felony, and possession of marijuana, an A misdemeanor.

All four individuals were transported to Greene County jail, where they're being held without bond pending their initial hearings.

“We've been investigating this for some time now,” said LPD Chief Troy Jerrell, adding that LPD Patrol Officer Josh Goodman led the investigation. “We had information that a large quantity of drugs, including methamphetamine, was leaving this place and being sold in the Linton area.

“Last night, there was enough information available to obtain a search warrant. Officers entered the residence at 12:36 a.m., today's date.”

Once inside, Jerrell said, officers discovered approximately 14 grams of meth, a large quantity of which was packaged for sale. In addition, they found scales, paraphernalia and other items used to deal meth. Jerrell said two firearms - one shotgun and one handgun were located, as well.

“It was a pretty good arrest,” Jerrell said. “We believe these guys have been selling large quantities of methamphetamine for some time now. Anytime anyone that close to the city is selling drugs that are coming into the city of Linton, we're going to investigate.”

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.

Jerrell said having the state police and sheriff's department working with the LPD is a plus, because they all have the same task in mind - getting drugs off the street.
